9.25x12-1/8” oversized Sep. 25, 1945 issue is dedicated to “Martin Quigley’s Third Of A Century” as editor of “Motion Picture Herald.” See previous item #1720. Issue contains 20-page tribute of sorts to Quigley. Publication also features usual Motion Picture Herald promotional imagery and text for upcoming films including Disney’s “So Dear To My Heart,” Gary Cooper film “The Pride Of The Yankees” and Bob Hope western comedy “The Paleface” that also starred Jane Russell. Graphic 4-page promotional feature for Alfred Hitchcock thriller “Rope” that starred Jimmy Stewart. Issue has lt. handling with wear along spine and at corners. Fine.
