9.25x12-1/8” Jun. 11, 1955 issue celebrates Quigley’s 40 years as editor of “Motion Picture Herald.” See previous item #1720. Ten separate pages dealing with Quigley’s 4 decades with “Motion Picture Herald” including printed letter from President Eisenhower. Issue promotes Marilyn Monroe film “The Seven Year Itch” and has classic image of her with skirt blowing up at center of 2 pages. Clark Gable and Jane Russell film “The Tall Man” also represented. Warner Bros. war film “Mr. Roberts” featured on 2 separate pages. James Dean classic “Rebel Without A Cause” is pictured in page devoted to upcoming Warner Bros. films and Dean is featured again for “Giant.” Nice full page bw photo portrait of Clark Gable with text “UA (United Artists) Hails The King! UA Has The King!” Nice full color page for RKO film “Son of Sinbad” directed by Howard Hughes. Full page bw ad for Columbia “Adventures Of Captain Africa” serial. Issue has some handling wear with 1” split at top of spine at back cover. Spine wear at bottom. Covers have handling wear/color rubs. Fine overall with Exc. pages.
