This unusual piece features a slightly convex front while the reverse is slightly concave. As issued, the piece was 33mm (1-3/8”) but this example seems to be a trial piece as it is larger with a plain outer edge and overall size of 37mm (1-7/16”) and unlike the issued piece which was holed, this piece is without a hole on the rim. Front shows Cleveland and wife facing left surrounded by text “Grover Cleveland/Public Office A Public Trust.” Reverse reads “Democracy’s Trump Card An Honest Administrator.” Some original brighter brass luster highlights remain on the piece.
