Item Description
This unlisted item is 1-9/16” tall. The hanger is a spread-winged eagle. Reverse has the horizontal bar pin but the twisted loop to hold the pin in place has snapped off. The celluloid center features very unusual photo of McKinley and in our photo this may show a few tiny marks but they were on the cello surface and now gone so the piece displays essentially Mint with beautiful luster. Text on this 1.5” embossed brass suspension reads “Souvenir/McKinley President/Inaugurated March 4, 1897.” Reverse is also brass stamped with maker’s imprint “Mnf’d By/M.Ernst/Cleveland, O.” A rare and beautiful piece. From the Morry Greener Collection.
