This 1.25” gives the appearance of a real photo image but under magnification there is a tiny dot screen pattern in some of the shaded areas of their faces. The button features an image of McKinley rarely seen along with image of Theodore Roosevelt in his Spanish-American War uniform. While the piece displays 99% Mint when viewed directly from the front, on the left side edge there is a 1/16” deep by .25” long missing sliver of celluloid. Reverse has horizontal bar pin and early backpaper “Made In Los Angeles By The Wm. H. Hoegee Co.” Celluloid has high gloss with just the most trivial surface hairlines barely showing even in reflected light. A rare and beautiful 1.25” unlisted jugate.
