Item Description
Pair, each 2.5x7x5.5" tall painted and glazed ceramic c. 1956. Both are complete w/Shaw foil copyright sticker on right side edge. Front of each features simulated wood log frame design around the character image. One is of Mickey who says "Hey Kid, Pick Up Your Clothes" while the other is of Donald depicted as an angel saying "Always Say Your Prayers." Back of each planter has a hole as made for wall mounting but these could be just as easily set on a shelf. Both have some exceedingly minor craze lines, only noticeable when viewed closely. Both remain totally bright, glossy and Exc. Both are scarce and the Donald is even scarcer than the Mickey. From the Hake collection.
