Auction #201 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1408 in auction 201
Item Description
1940s. 7-5/8x9-7/8” cardboard mat has 4-5/8x6.75” photo attached to center showing soldier in winter uniform sitting atop motorcycle looking at viewer. Lower left corner of mat has San Angelo Studio, Pottstown, PA stamp, though photo appears to be taken on battlefield. Perhaps this was a vintage enlargement made from a photo sent home during the war. Mat has horizontal crease to center but photo itself is VF. Nice image showing use of motorcycles in wartime.
