Item Description
Pair of complete and identical standard sized unused match packs with the slogan “Give Chicago Leadership.” Interior of cover has short pro-Daley endorsement “From The Chicago Daily News, Chicago Sun-Times, Chicago Daily Tribune and Chicago Herald-American.” Given the text, these appear to be issued for Daley’s first Mayoral campaign. One example quotation from the Chicago Daily Tribune is “’Mr. Daley, Former Minority Leader Of The State Senate And Comptroller Of Cook County, Has Shown Administrative Talent.” Tiniest age tone on the cover interiors but each pack is N. Mint.
