Item Description
3” reading “Support Beall/Allen/Bring Maryland Together Again.” Text beneath the photos is “Jay Glenn Beall For Governor And Dr. Aris T. Allen For Lt. Governor.” Mirror on the other side is perfect. Celluloid has very lt. general surface wear showing a little in reflected light but with normal viewing still displays Mint. Allen was the first African American to run for statewide office in Maryland. Fifty of these mirrors were made for the ‘Ladies’ at a high dollar fund raiser. There is a 3” pinback of this same design; however, Slater of NYC made this mirror whereas a different company made the pinback and the colors don’t have the same intensity and quality. Very limited.
