Item Description
1.25” button with single word inscription meaning in Hebrew “The Defense.” This organization was active in what was the British Mandate of Palestine from 1920 to 1948 and later became the core of the Israel Defense Forces. This button is c. late 40s. Spring pin holds pair of slightly dusty blue and white ribbons plus gold luster white metal replica of a pistol. Some loss of gold from one side of the pistol but the button itself remains N. Mint and displays Mint. A tiny dot at center in our photo was a dirt speck now removed. First example we’ve seen.
