Item Description
c. mid-1920s. Three boards, each 8.75x20” wide with 16 individual printed paste-ups with “Andy Gump For President” text reversed, apparently for color separation use and/or to produce film that would have the text not on reverse. Additional artboard is 4.5x5-1/8” with same design as larger proofs but image is reversed and has text “Andy Gump His Life Story $1.00” with additional text “Read My Book” printed paste-ups. Boards have scattered lt. dust soil but image areas are Fine/VF. From the Parisian Novelty Co. of Chicago archives.
