Auction #183 - Part II
Item numbers 1292-2528 in auction 183
Item Description
5x6x8.5" tall solid painted plaster © 1938 by LaMode Studios Inc. of N.Y. Great image of Dopey leaning over his drum and holding a drumstick in one hand. Drum has a small recessed inner rim where some type of thin drum head was once attached but is missing. On the inside of the drum is the light bulb. Has original wiring and works. Underside has original felt covering. The electric cord has some fraying of the fabric covering but all remains structurally sound. Has scattered small paint flakes and rubs but nothing serious nor does anything dramatically stand out. Appearance remains totally bright and clean. Displays VF. Great design and rare. From the Hake collection.
