5.75" tall celluloid figure mounted to a 2.5" dia. painted tin base. The separate head is mounted to a nodding mechanism which has an attached counterweight. Underside of base has a winder mechanism and toy works. When wound, his head nods back and forth. c. 1938 marked on back "Made In Japan" plus Disney copyright. The counterweight is an expertly crafted replacement as is the windup wire and rubber band but all expertly done and works perfectly. Nice image of Bashful holding a trumpet. The tin base has trace of wear, tiny paint nicks. Figure remains Exc. We have offered matching windups for Mickey and Donald but this is the first we've seen of Bashful.
