c. early 1970s. 2.25x2.5” piece of lined notebook paper has nice India ink sketch of nervous looking Crumb staring at viewer with word balloon “R. Crumb 585-3912.” Upper left has tiny ink lines where he was trying to get ink to flow more freely from pen. Crumb is world famous as the inspiration behind adult themed comics, creations include “Keep On Truckin’, Zap Comix, Fritz The Cat.” Sketch was obtained at a restaurant by ardent fan. Right side and bottom margin edges have tear lines where removed from notebook. A few minor handling creases. Image area near Exc. Wonderful early Crumb original.
