Item Description
First flag is 11.75x15.75” attached to 64.75” wooden pole. Text reads “Liberty Loan Official” with large letter “V” in center. Second flag is 11.5x19.5” attached to 42.5” wooden pole. Text reads “Official Permit To Operate For Liberty Loan.” First flag has text printed on front side only, second flag has text printed on both sides. The flags were used in bond drives on Boston Common during and after the war. They were originally used by the Liberty Bond Campaign Chairman for Massachusetts and possibly New England region. Both have aging with some dust soil and lt. wear with handling creases here and there. Second flag has moisture mark in .75” area at top. VG/Fine overall.
