Item Description
4.75” dia. Made in Italy tin clock w/brass accents has choice illustration on clock face showing soldiers with rifles ready to battle with text “W Tripoli Italiano!” The war began on Sep. 29, 1911 at 2:30 in the afternoon. Italian troops landed at 2 ports on Tripoli’s soil as Italian cruisers pursued and fired upon Turkish transports near Prevesa. Clock case and bell area are discolored with age and have lost luster. VG. Clock face has minor fade. VF.
