Item Description
Transogram Co. Inc. New York #3993 a “Gold Medal” toy. c. mid-1930s. 6.5x8.5x1.5” deep cardboard box features top illustration with 4-panel comic strip scene with Annie making muffins for Daddy Warbucks plus larger illustration of her rolling dough with Sandy watching. Two side panels feature Annie and Sandy wearing chef hats and retrieving muffins from an oven while 2 other side panels depict them with huge pie and Annie holds a giant knife. Box has trace of lt. scattered edge wear with a few small lid scratches. Fine. Box contains 3 wood items: pastry board, cookie press and rolling pin. Also included although unsure if originally issued with this set is a tin cup, tin mold and tiny metal funnel. Set comes with small 2.25x3” “Recipe Book” folder. Tin mold has lt. oxidation and cup has a few shallow dents. Wood pieces and recipe book are Exc. Wonderful lid graphics with bright color.
