Item Description
Each is 7-7/8x10”, credited to International Newsreel. First photo shows 2 jockeys before the race at Belmont Park which horse “Zev” won by 5 lengths. Dated 10-20-23. Second photo dated 5-15-27 shows a portion of the crowd of 80,000 who witnessed the 53rd running of the Kentucky Derby. Race was won by Whiskery. Photos have bit of age toning and lt. handling creases here and there. Second photo has scattered age rippling. Both VG. Nice images. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake’s COA.
