5.75x5.75x1.5" deep box contains complete and unused elaborately designed tin litho birthday cake decoration. Assembles to 8.5" tall w/base dia. of 4". 1950s by Ross Products Inc. and marked "Made In Japan." Box lid features illustration of the carousel atop a birthday cake w/Tinker Bell flying beside it. Box text reads "Tinkles As It Revolves/Livens Up Any Birthday Party." Box has st. dust soiling, original price in grease pencil on one side panel but still Exc. The base features images of Mickey, Donald and his nephews, Dumbo and Pluto, has six attached candle holders. A wire post attaches to this and this post has an attached diecut tin image of front and back of Mickey in Brave Little Tailor-like outfit . Other attachments to the center post include diecut pieces depicting Mickey's nephews riding Dumbo, Pluto and Bambi, pair of bells and carousel top w/words "Happy Birthday." On the very top fits an additional diecut Mickey holding a Happy Birthday sign. The heat from the candles drives the top carousel which rotates as do the three diecut nephew figures and as these spin, they strike against the bells. We only show the item partially assembled as the other small attachment pieces are still sealed in plastic bag as are the candles. Mint. An elaborately designed item.
