Item Description
4.75” tall with vertical pin glued on mid-section reverse. A pair of brass wire shafts run horizontally through the probably Lucite translucent amber colored body. Brass rings join the shafts and hold stylized arms of cream color Bakelite and legs in three translucent segments, likely of yellow Lucite, with additional rings holding the more golden-toned, dome-shaped feet. On the edge of the opening for the shaft of the arm at left are 3 tiny surface flakes about 1/32” to 1/16” all largely hidden by the brass bead. Very tiny dot of black is off the “X” on the face forming one eye and tiny dot of black is off the line forming the mouth. The head itself is a half sphere of marbleized burnt orange Bakelite mounted vertically on the body and topped by a round red Bakelite disk about .5” diameter serving as the figure’s hat. Only the most trivial traces of age. Extremely Fine.
