7-1/8x10-1/8” squarebound comic book published in 1966 by Shonen Gahosha of Tokyo, Japan. Typical Manga (Japanese comic) compilation format, book features several different stories of which a 22-page “Batman” is collected in blue and white illustrations with Japanese text. In the story, Batman and Robin battle Go-Go The Magician. Another full color half-page advertises Batman sneakers, 2-page spread features ad for Batman toy boat with numerous detailed features and back cover has ad for Japanese Batmobile toy. Front cover features image of Adam West and Burt Ward as Batman and Robin as they appeared on the “Batman” TV show and this cover art was also used on “Bat-Manga” book by Pantheon Books in 2008. Rest of publication is filled with popular Japanese character contents including World War II and horror/monster stories. Issue has handling wear with some creasing at spine (which, as this is Japanese publication, spine is at right and book is read from back to front in English terms).
