Item Description
1.5" dia. by 6" long rwb cardboard tube is a 1942 Ovaltine premium. Tube design includes images of "Official Wing And Tail Markings" as well as scene of three kids using the detector. One end of the tube is complete w/cardboard insert centered by eye hole. Opposite end of tube is slotted for insertion of paper disks and detector comes w/four of seven original airplane silhouette identifiers. Also comes w/insert to measure speed of aircraft, high and low altitude distance finders. While the remaining eight airplane silhouettes are missing, lot comes w/8.5x11" bw photocopy of the original instruction sheet which includes all 12 of the plane silhouettes and even done on translucent parchment-like paper closely matching the original sheet. The original sheet has been cut out and has original free coupon offer at bottom. The tube shows lt. aging but remains sturdy and maintains original shape. Displays VF. A rare premium.
