Item Description
The pair of clickers are each 2” long, one in full color with nice portraits of Buster and Tige with text “A Tread Straight Shoe/Buster Brown Shoes.” The second clicker is rwb showing Buster and Tige promoting “Hosiery” and showing them in a tug-of-war with a stocking. The 4 whistles include one at top left with great color portraits of Buster and Tige on each side of a circular tube. The text on the center area of the piece reads “Stylish And Sturdy/Buster Brown Shoes.” This has general scattered paint wear but text is largely complete and images are still VF. There is a tube-shaped whistle with full color images of Buster and Tige promoting “Buster Brown Shoes.” This has an interior siren. Next is a cream-colored tin whistle, again with portrait of Buster and Tige promoting “Buster Brown Shoes For Boys – For Girls.” Very minor edge wear. Last is a tall rectangular full color whistle inscribed “Buster Brown Brownbilt Shoes.” Couple of small paint marks with minor scratch at lower left. All c. 1930s and overall VF except for the third item which is VG.
