Item Description
c. 1930. Maker unknown. Five soldiers, each 6-5/8” tall have movable arms, legs and heads and hats that turn. Four have attached “rifles” that are simple metal nail-shaped pieces that are driven into the top side of the round “hands.” Sixth figure is 7.5” tall with movable head, collar and hat; likely from a different set. Wooden cannon is 4-3/8” wide and 5.75” long overall. Spring-loaded to fire small marbles or small wooden pieces. Underside has metal strip for support. All pieces show some wear from use. The soldiers’ simplistic facial features are very faded on 2 and are no longer visible on the other 3. VG/Fine overall. Nicely designed. Cannon working.
