7x8-5/8” softcover published by “The E.I. Company New York, N.Y.” Front cover has little boy saying “’Smatter Pop?” with father answering “Bigosh!” Cover price of 25¢. Inside front cover promotes “Oi! Oi! I’m Leffing!” humor book. Inside back cover promotes “Amazing Stories Monthly” pulp with graphics showing Vol. 2 #11 cover. Back cover promotes “French Humor Magazine.” Book has 48 pulp paper pages reprinting a daily strip by C. M. Payne on each page. This was the first comic book published by Hugo Gernsback, noted for Amazing Stories among other memorable science fiction pulps. The World Science Fiction Convention Award, the Hugo is named after him. Covers have lt. scattered dust soil. A few lt. handling creases here and there. Bottom edge of front cover is mis-cut by 1/8” as printed. Hairline color rubs along spine on front cover. Inside pages lightly but evenly tanned and most inside pages are missing tiny bit of paper at lower right extreme corner tip. VG overall. First we’ve offered in our 44+ years. Rare.
