Item Description
1.25” button with W&H name along with name of New York button jobber W.F. Miller & Co. This button features a shamrock design with the top petal showing the America’s Cup although the Shamrock lost the race to Columbia (see previous item) in 1901. The second petal shows the sailboat while the third pictures Sir Thomas Lipton who financed the sailboat which was designed by the Scottish master George Lennox Watson. Two exceedingly trivial gray marks on upper left edge barely showing. Button still displays essentially Mint. Comes with Hake’s COA.
