Item Description
6.25” tall with somewhat faded gold text reading “1856/50th Anniversary/Columbia Hose Co. No. 5/Carbondale, Pa./Sep. 4, 1906.” The wonderful parts of this item are the 2 large sepia real photos each held in elaborate embossed brass frames. The rectangular scene at the top is of 6 firemen in uniforms, including helmets, holding various pieces of firefighting equipment all posed in front of their ladder wagon. The lower photo is a 1.25” celluloid outdoor scene of a team of horses hitched to a fire wagon with driver. While the ribbon shows some age, the brass and celluloid remain essentially Mint. Rare single day issue.
