Item Description
17.75x19” archival wood frame contains professionally double-matted display with pair of 4.5x8.5” openings. Left side contains 4x8” Valentine’s Day card with art of smiling female Shmoo with hearts above her head. Text above reads “Ah’ Always Knew Yor’ An Old Schmoo” and has printed signature of Al Capp at lower left. Second opening has 6.5” tall matching India ink and watercolor original art with ink signature at upper left “Frazetta.” Noted fantasy artist Frank Frazetta was an assistant on the Li’l Abner comic strip from 1953 through 1958. Artboard has 7 small areas of white out corrections, female Shmoo has very noticeable tiny moisture dot on left cheek. Art is o/w bright and VF. Rest of display is Exc. Delightful image.
