Item Description
2-7/8” long metal tube with “Tom Mix Ralston” checkerboard insignia and lettering. Bulb and spring are inside light. One end has a plastic cover which holds a small clear plastic wheel that revolves with 3 small lens areas. Two lenses have red and green inserts and third is clear so 3 different colored light beams can be projected. Unlike nearly all examples, the right plastic end cap is not cracked. Trace of scattered lt. wear here and there. Bottom of cap is missing very narrow 3/8” line of paint. Fine. Comes with first-seen 3x5” insert paper with text “Dear Straight Shooter Pal – We Are Sorry We Can’t Send You A Tom Mix Electric Signal Set. Due To Government Defense Orders It Is Not Possible To Get All The Parts Needed. We Are Sending You Another Premium Instead, And Know You Will Understand. Remember Ralston Gives You ‘Pazazz’ And Don’t Forget To Tune In The ‘Tom Mix Radio Program.’ Tom Mix Ralston Straight Shooters Of America.” Fine. Comes with 2.75x6-7/8” mailer with Ralston Straight Shooters Checkerboard Square St. Louis Mo. return address label. Envelope is wrinkled, right side has 2 tiny staple holes. VG.
