Item Description
1-3/8x1.75x2-7/8” wide cardboard box has return address of “The Lone Ranger South Station 6308 Baltimore, Md.” This Baltimore company produced Lone Ranger Ice Cream Cones and issued the first western comic (as a premium) devoted to a western character. The comic pictures several premiums (bracelet, hat) including the ultra rare “Lone Ranger and Tonto Lucky Rings” made of green plastic that seemingly was very unstable as there are just a couple of surviving examples. We’ve not offered one in decades. Here is the first known mailer box for the rings. Box is tanned, some surface wear and dust soil, Fine. With it comes the 7/16x9/16” incomplete glossy paper that was mounted on the top of the Lone Ranger ring. Has front art image of smiling Lone Ranger with text at top “Hi-Yo Silver!” and text at bottom “The Lone Ranger” with irregular punch-out hole in center, tiny split at right side and tiny creases. Ring paper just comes along. From the Joe Gura Premium Collection.
