Overall size is 3x5.5x6.25” tall. From c. 1932 exceptional series of Mickey and Minnie metal figures, some of which were designed as useful objects such as this ashtray as well as playing card containers and banks. Features 3.25” tall cast metal Mickey atop metal ashtray base and standing next to a cast metal lamp post. “Mickey Mouse” name appears on one side of his body, Disney copyright on the other while underside of base is marked “Germany.” Great image of Mickey with arms outstretched and complete with tail. Recessed ashtray area has soiling from use as well as gold paint wear. Mickey and lamp post have darkening to the white paint but these pieces exhibit only small paint wear with some scattered nicks/flakes. Ashtray base VG while rest is Fine. In Auction #199 we offered a similar ashtray but with a totally different style attachment of a floor lamp, rather than a lamp post, and that version sold for $1685.
