Item Description
22.75x26-7/8” wood frame has Plexiglas with brass title nameplate at bottom. Archival mat has 14.25” dia. opening. Mixed media scene consists of hand-painted cel with witch giving Snow White apple along with foreground and bkg. hand-watercolored furniture and appointments. Art is done for a Knowles china plate in an edition strictly limited to a maximum of 150 firing days. c. 1990s. Back of art has sticker from “Alvin Somerville White Studio” in Burbank noting art is for plate #5 with text credits: Designer Dave Pacheco/Judith Barnes, cel inker Ed Hartley, cel painter Stephenson/Gibson, illustrator John Calmette. Bright and N. Mint. Incredibly well done. A classic image.
