Item Description
This unusual piece features a 1-1/16” long mallet at the top of the style used by Major Bowes to chime his famous gong. Suspended below on a 2.75” link chain is a .5” dia. convex replica of a gong reading “Major Bowes Gong.” Both pieces are marked on the reverse with the word “Sterling.” The item was made without any type of pin and was used as an award during the 1930s. Tiny tarnish dots but o/w Mint as made. Rare.
