Item Description
This 1937 ring features adjustable brass bands in the shape of a pair of cobras. They join at the top on each side of a scarab finished in dark green enamel paint. Post’s used this ring for 2 of their sponsored shows, Frank Hawks and Melvin Purvis. Ring bands have just a little general luster loss but still display beautifully. The scarab, quite susceptible to paint loss, has only 2 near microscopic pinpoints of green missing and is 99% complete. See following unusual variety of this item. Values for this ring which we’ve had only about 5 times are Good - $300; Fine - $650; N. Mint - $1200. Overall we would grade this example as Exc. but with outstanding paint.
