Item Description
12x13” black wood frame has double mat with opening of 5x7” around set of 3 enameled metal pins each about 2” tall/long. Relief-mounted to bkg. scene which is sketch-style artwork of “Pete’s Garage” and at top of the building is portrait image of Black Pete holding a wrench. Pins are Susie, The Little Blue Coupe from the 1952 short and Pedro the Baby Airplane from Saludos Amigos released in 1943. Third pin is of a gas pump which actually connects to Pedro, but these are 2 separate pins. Unique use/combination of these 3 Disney characters. At bottom center is 1” medallion pin with image of Mickey and text “Disney’s Pin Trading Around The World.” Issued for the June 14, 2003 Toontown pin event. Very limited edition of just 50 and issued at $95.00. It was an instant sell-out. Artist was Jeff Ebersohl. Comes with certificate and original shipping carton. Mint and ready for display. A much sought after item in the pin collecting community. From the Tomart Archives and comes with COA signed by Tom Tumbusch and Ted Hake.
