Item Description
Pair, each 6.5x9.5” issued by Krug’s Bakery. First is “The Wonder Ships Of Today” 16-page album with set of thirty-six 2.5x3.5” glossy paper pictures all mounted at appropriate spots. Issued in 1939. Feature images reproduced from paintings by Fred J. Hoertz and include Queen Mary, Excalibur, New York, Normandy, President Coolidge, Queen Elizabeth, Nantucket Light Ship, others. Additional related art appears on each page along with detailed information on the ships. Second album is “Airplanes Of America.” 24 pages with complete set of forty-two 3.5x3.5” glossy paper pictures all neatly mounted at appropriate spots. Issued 1940-41. These also feature Hoertz art. Wide variety of aircraft including Piper Cub, Spirit of St. Louis, Boeing Stratoliner, Vultee Attack Bomber, Pan-American Clipper, U.S. Navy blimp, others. Both albums have lt. wear/aging to cover and contents. Fine/VF. Pictures Exc. to N. Mint as mounted. Nice albums.
