Item Description
Matched pair 19.5” tall and of the highest quality and design. c. 1950s. Stuffed dolls with felt heads, hands and removable caps, cotton shirt, cloth collar and pants, satin bow ties and leather-like shoes with string laces. Multi-colored hair is string, detailed facial features are embroidered. Each has their specific name embroidered on collar. Metal pants buttons. Embroidered on pants leg of Tweedledee is copyright of “Mary Peterson.” Tweedledee is depicted looking to his right while Tweedledum is depicted looking to his left. Few tiny scattered traces of aging but both remain totally bright and clean. Exc./N. Mint. A truly exceptional pair of dolls.
