Item Description
4.5x10.25x5.5" tall painted and glazed ceramic cookie jar designed like a school bus. Foil label on underside is not legible but jar was made in Japan, and distributed in the US by Dan Brechner. Early 1960s. Jar is decorated with decals at all windows showing different Disney characters and each side of bus has "Cookie Bus" decal. Goofy is the bus driver and other characters shown are Mickey and his nephews, Donald and his nephews, Bambi, Thumper, Dumbo, Alice and Ludwig. Back of bus has "Disneyland U.S.A." license plate design. Over-the-glaze paint shows wear, most evident at red lights on lid, tail lights, head lights, grille. Decals on bus 100% complete. Interior shows some aging. Corner of lid has 1" hairline not visible from outside. Tiny bit of wear to letter "I" in Cookie Bus decal title on lid. Overall Fine. Great concept with nice art.
