Item Description
.5x11x15.75" tall composition, c. 1930s when radio was king. Relief text reads, "Your Call Letters For Good Taste". A large radio microphone appears on the metal stand behind the announcer's sign with the raised letters "BPR" above the microphone. Letters are styled in such a way as to resemble the typical "CBS" or "NBC" letters that appeared on radio microphones of the day. The front of the base has incised text "The Baltimore Pure Rye Distilling Co. Dundalk, Md". Decal on top of base has text including 1939 copyright date. Decal on back of base reads, "Harry G. Corbett, Inc. Advertising Displays, New York, NY". Decals are a bit worn, a few small dots of missing black color off back of announcer's jacket. Overall Fine/VF appearance. Great design and wonderful item for display.
