Item Description
Small size fabric cap has 2-1/8x3.5" patch on front with nice photographic images of Roger Maris and Mickey Mantle with their facsimile signatures and art of baseball stadium. Cap was issued during the N.Y. Yankees Slugger's homerun race of 1961 when Maris hit 61 home runs breaking Babe Ruth's single season record of 60 home runs set in 1927. Mantle hit 54 home runs that year. Cap is worn with dust soiling but red color is still strong. Patch on front is faded but image is still clear in reflected light. VG overall. Scarce.
