3 items. 3.5x6-3/8" envelope with "Babe Ruth New York" return address is addressed to recipient in Henderson, MD. Contains letter on "Babe Ruth" stationery dated February 16, 1934, addressed "Hi, Pal!" telling recipient "I Am Happy To Be Able To Tell You That You Have Qualified For The World Series Finals Of My Recent Radio Contest" with offer of free trip as Ruth's personal guest to his spring training camp at St. Petersburg, Florida. Letter goes on to give instructions for mailing in contest form. Contest form is 6x20.75" printed on 1 side inviting user to pick selections from list of "World Series Players 1931-1933". Bottom portion is designed to be filled out, cut off and mailed back to Babe Ruth to be 1 of 50 winners invited to go to his training camp. Notable players on list include Foxx, Terry, Lazzeri, Ott, Ruth, Dickey, Gomez, and Ruffing. Envelope is heavily creased w/some dust soil. Good. Letter and contest blank have both been folded as mailed, contest blank has some tanning, most noticeable on bottom third. Overall VG but never filled out. First we've seen in our 45 years.
