Item Description
8.75x11.25" hardcover w/nice embossed logo and date on front cover has 304 b/w pages. Unitas played quarterback for the Cardinals football team and is shown in one photo which has text "The Cards Suffered Some Damaging Physical Injuries, John Unitas From Broken Fingers And Jerry Wibbles From A Broken Arm". Another page has photo of smiling Unitas seated next to pretty girl surrounded by friends w/text "Jonelle And The Football Players Who Elected Her Queen". Photo is at bottom of page with two other photos. In his four year career as a Louisville Cardinal, Unitas completed 245 passes for 3,139 yards w/27 touchdowns. He would then go on to a major professional career starting w/the Pittsburgh Steelers, joining the Baltimore Colts in 1956 until the early '70s. He was traded to the San Diego Chargers in 1973 and retired from football in 1974 after 17 NFL seasons. Covers have lt. color rubs around edges and corner tips. Fine. Inside covers are lt. tanned at inside spine seams. Contents overall VF/Exc.
