Item Description
28" tall overall with composition head, hands and cleated shoes. Stuffed fabric body with fabric no. "77" on chest. Neck has maker's stamp "Sterling Doll Co. Inc". Shoes have tiny bit of wear but have all cleats. Uniform has lt. dust soiling with a few minor stains on back, composition is exceptionally nice with no cracks or crazing. Overall VF and rarely found this nice. Harold "Red" Grange, nicknamed the "Galloping Ghost", was a college and professional American football halfback for the University of Illinois, the Chicago Bears and the short-lived New York Yankees football team. ESPN named him the greatest college football player of all time in 2008. Wonderful vintage display item for this legendary player.
