Item Description
14x14" cardboard sign w/title reading "Movie Cut-Ups/Buster Crabbe Starring In King Of The Jungle A Paramount Picture." From 1933 for film which was Paramount's answer to Tarzan that starred Crabbe who nearly lost the role of Tarzan to Johnny Weissmuller in 1932, however, he would go on to play Tarzan in 1933's Tarzan the Fearless. Sign features great image of him in loincloth standing next to a lion. Additional text at top right corner reads "A New Weekly Puzzle Of Your Favorite Movie Stars In Coming Attractions...On Sale Every Tuesday" w/printed price of 25¢. Moderate dust soiling, noticeable on top text margin, top two corners have 4" crease. Bottom center has 1.25" tear. The color art area remains strong. Overall still displays Fine.
