Item Description
First sign is 7-3/8x9.25" w/large text at top "Union Shop!" w/nicely designed art image of eagle in center sitting on stars and stripes shield w/union seal printed at lower left. Bottom has facsimile signature of General President W. C. Birthrigll. No. 95636 c. 1930s. Tin litho by Bastian Bros. w/ paper text attached to reverse "Rules Governing Union Shop Cards". Scattered lt. wear around edges, a few tiny service scratches, lt. faded w/age. Overall Fine. Second sign is 10x14" laminated cardboard w/large text at top "International Union Market" for "Amalgamated Meat Cutters And Butcher Workmen Of North America, A. F. of L." w/facsimile signature at lower right of Secretary Treasurer Patrick E. Gorman. No. 22953 c. 1950s. A few minor surface scratches just visible in reflected light. VF/Exc. appearance w/bright color. Lower left has printed seal which includes cleaver, knife, saw, and steel. Both are nicely designed w/original attachments at top for hanging.
