Letter is 8.5x10.5" w/matching Captain Marvel to the envelope at top left. Does not have any content welcoming recipient to the club. The postscript notes that the letters were going to be discontinued for the time being "Until We Are Able To Get Larger Quarters." Body of letter includes some interesting text such as "I've been so busy lately straightening out the cunning and evil Sivana, the world's maddest scientist, that I haven't had much time for letter-writing, let along ball playing or swimming." Also mentions new comic title "Vic Verity" which debuted in 1945. Slightest aging but Exc. as folded. The membership card is 2.75x4" on card stock. Front has inked signature of recipient. Reverse includes "Captain Marvel's Secret Code." Lt. aging, front top edge has trace of thin rust stain caused where button laid against it. No creases and Fine. Button is celluloid version 1" dia. w/white bkg. Surrounding Marvel image is text "Captain Marvel Club/Shazam." Has pinpoint indent and some surface hairlines although all only visible in reflected light. Appearance remains glossy and clean. Fine. Final two items are a pair of special offer inserts. One is 4x9" promoting the official Captain Marvel Club emblem while the other is 2.75x8.5" subscription offer for Fawcett Publications. Both are lightly aged, emblem paper has moderate scattered margin wear, a few small tears. Fine.
