Item Description
This lot is c. 1942 and consists of a total of seven pieces. The matching envelopes are 4x9.5", pair of letters are 8.25x10.5", also on matching letterhead design. First letter welcomes new member to the club and mentions that membership totals over 200,000. Additional text notes that the club letters were issued every month but due to the war, "I will have to stop this at least until the war is over." Has some scattered lt. tan streaks and spots but Fine. Second letter is from Dec. 1942. Text notes the debut of Mary Marvel Comics as well as the "Paste The Axis" contest. Lightly aged as folded. VF. Both envelopes have scattered lt. margin wear and aging but are Fine. Comes w/three small insert papers. Two are identical 2.75x4" "Captain Marvel's Secret Message" sheets while the third is 2.75x8.5" subscription offer. This has been filled out in pencil. All three have lt. aging, subscription offer paper is Fine, other two are VF to Exc.
