3 5/8 x 6.25" with Gus in foreground saying, "Howdy-Hazel-Betty Boop says I'm De Toughest Guy in De Movies-Maybe-but I'm Yer Pal!" with text at bottom "I'm Gus Gorilla Watch for me in Paramount Pictures-and on National Broadcasting Stations-Yer Pal Gus Fleischer Studios." Gus's name at bottom has been hand-written in pink pencil. Lower left corner has 1 3/8" wide fountain pen signature "Max Fleischer". Girl's name on front in word balloon is hand lettered. Betty Boop is in background in skimpy outfit looking startled. Reverse side is post marked New York Jan. 23 1933 and addressed to recipient in Ephrata, PA. See matching fan card sent the following day #2176. Trace of lt. dust soil and lt. tanning. Tiny creases at bottom corner tips. Fine. VF. Scarce variety of this card. Comes with Hake's COA.
