Item Description
c. early 1950s. This is the scarcer of two varieties, the premium version which has only text on box. Sets sold in stores had picture of child with mask on box. 11.75x12x11.5" deep box has text on front "Space Patrol Outer Space Plastic Helmet" and maker text on reverse "Toys Of Tomorrow, LTD." with Los Angeles address. Lid top has "Space Helmet" large text handwritten in ink. Sides have a few lt. moisture marks. Overall VG but "Space Patrol" text displays Fine. Box contains 10.5" tall clear plastic helmet with "Space Patrol Commander" decal showing planets and rockets above front face opening. Scattered lt. wear to plastic helmet, but decal is 100% complete. Fine. Comes with 13x25" inflatable vinyl vest which doubles as oxygen tanks. Designed to be worn around head and shoulders. Has thin plastic tube attached at top. Some lt. aging. Overall Fine. Nicely designed pair.
