Item Description
c. Early 1940s. 8x10" high quality matte finish photo with wonderful image of smiling Esther Williams with flower in her hair wearing two piece swim suit leaning against rock on beach with ocean in distance has bold green fountain pen ink autograph in clear area at upper left. Top edge and upper left side have a few lt. handling creases but will mat and frame VF appearance. Williams was a competitive swimmer and went on to join “Billy Rose’s Aquacade”, swimming alongside Tarzan star Johnny Weissmuller. She went on to become an MGM star in the 1940s and 1950s. Superb display item. From the collection of newspaper editor Harry McLaughlin and comes with Hake’s COA.
